Last month I bought a bitty digital 4track in hopes that it would help me write songs for the solo album I feel I should record (not getting any younger) this summer while Ian is in Morocco and I am in Atlanta
Anyhow, here's what I've done with it. Most of the "songs" were written in the car on my way to work using the drum machine pre-sets on the recorder. I would love to know which you think should be fleshed out - please keep in mind that these are only sketches which need to be arranged and re-recorded. I'll also write more coherent lyrics. Are the pre-set beats too cheesy or could I keep them if I add effects? Which one should I pretty up first? Should I just throw in the towel?
Most are from my commute. Some have keyboards I added at home... These aren't in any particular order. Ignore the car noises and turn signal :)
The first thing I recorded "Midnight Radio"
